Call for Proposals until 16 October 2018: Aging & Social Change: Ninth Interdisciplinary Conference (Vienna)
Proposals for paper presentations, workshops/interactive sessions, posters/exhibits, or colloquia addressing one of the following themes:
Special Focus - Aging in Times of New Nationalisms: Inequalities, Participation, and Policies
Theme 1: Economic and Demographic Perspectives on Aging
Theme 2: Public Policy and Public Perspectives on Aging
Theme 3: Medical Perspectives on Aging, Health, Wellness
Theme 4: Social and Cultural Perspectives on Aging
Physical frailty: instruments for baseline characterisation of older populations in clinical trials (reflection paper)
The reflection paper describes how to characterise the baseline frailty status of older patients enrolled in clinical trials other than by their age. The aim is to ensure that clinical trial populations are representative of the users of the medicine, as the benefit-risk balance in older patients may depend on their physical frailty status. This supplements the requirements of ICH E7 note for guidance and questions and answers.
XIIIth Advanced Postgraduate Course in Geriatrics of the EAMA (2019 – 2020)
The board of the European Academy for Medicine of Ageing (EAMA) is looking for enthusiastic geriatricians to join the XIIIth EAMA course starting January 2019. The two-year course consists of four intense one-week sessions held twice a year in January and June. Each session covers a well balanced geriatric topic with experts from around the world.

Session 2: June 24-28, 2019
Session 3: January 20-24, 2020
Session 4: June 22-26 2020
