7th Public Health Palliative Care International Conference “Democratizing caring, dying and grieving: participation, action, understanding and evaluation"

Bruges, Belgium

20-23 September 2022, Bruges, Belgium

There is increasing recognition that the challenges around serious illness, care giving, dying and be- reavement go beyond the scope of professional health care services. Promoting health and wellbeing in these domains entails societal and civic responses complementary to health service responses. For instance, governments, health and wellbeing organizations, workplaces, schools, churches, neighbor- hoods and health care services can collaborate to develop supportive social environments, policies, health services, skills and community action.

The conference brings together leading innovators, researchers, practitioners, policy makers, repre- sentatives of civic society in the public health palliative care approach. The PHPCI2022 conference will provide a critical platform for sharing best-practice examples and evidence from research from around the world and across Europe
